Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Site Engineer with a Diploma or BSc in Computer or Electronics Engineering. The ideal candidate will have additional qualifications in CCNA and networking, along with at least one year of relevant experience. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing on-site technical activities, ensuring the successful implementation and maintenance of computer and electronic systems. Your role will involve working closely with project teams, vendors, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the specified requirements and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Asset management, maintenance of service inventory, service record management.
- On-Site Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer and electronic systems.
- System Installation and Deployment: Install and deploy hardware, software, and networking infrastructure according to project requirements and specifications.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to computer and electronic systems, and implement timely and effective solutions.
- Network Configuration and Management: Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, CCTV, biometrics devices and servers to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, network layouts, and troubleshooting procedures. Generate reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions as required.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and clients to coordinate on-site activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on the use and maintenance of computer and electronic systems as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends related to computer and electronic engineering. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or BSc in Computer or Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- Additional qualification in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and networking.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the field of computer or electronic engineering.
- Strong technical skills in hardware, software, and networking technologies.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and climbing.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and best practices in computer and electronic engineering.
