Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer with over 3 years of experience to provide first and second-level technical support to end-users. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing IT assets, supporting collaboration tools, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1 and L2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues in person, remotely, or via phone/email.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory.
- Provide support for Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).
- Maintain and update IT asset inventory with proper documentation.
- Assist in employee onboarding/offboarding including device setup and recovery.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues to higher-level teams or vendors.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and protocols.
- Participate in IT projects including system upgrades, migrations, and rollouts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in desktop/end-user support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting, installation, and upgrades.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP).
- Exposure to ITIL practices and documentation.
- Experience in supporting mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
