Location: Pune
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning: Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements and define test objectives, test strategies, and test plans for web applications.
Test Execution: Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing of web applications to identify defects, bugs, and other issues. Execute test cases, record test results, and report any deviations from expected behavior.
Bug Reporting: Document and report defects in a clear and concise manner, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results. Work closely with the development team to assist in bug resolution and retesting.
Test Documentation: Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test data, to ensure comprehensive test coverage and facilitate knowledge transfer.
Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and develop automated test scripts using appropriate testing tools or frameworks. Execute and maintain automated tests to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
Test Environment Setup: Set up and configure test environments, including browsers, operating systems, and devices, to simulate real-world usage scenarios and ensure compatibility.
Test Reporting: Generate test reports summarizing test activities, test results, and overall product quality. Communicate findings to project stakeholders, including recommendations for improvement.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and project managers, to ensure a smooth and effective testing process throughout the software development life cycle.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and tools related to web testing. Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of web testing activities.
Quality Assurance: Contribute to the overall quality assurance process by participating in quality reviews, providing feedback, and suggesting improvements to development processes and practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Web Tester or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of web technologies, browsers, and web application development.
Familiarity with software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
Experience with bug tracking and test management tools.
Knowledge of web standards, accessibility guidelines, and cross-browser compatibility testing.
Understanding of front-end and back-end web development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and databases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
