How do I get started with Informatica Certification?

What is the price of the test? Is a second attempt included?
- Each test is three training units (each unit at $80 = total price of $240 USD).
- Each test purchase includes a no-cost second attempt.
- No other discounts apply.

What should I expect when taking the test?
- All Informatica Certified Specialist tests are in multiple choice, multiple response, or true/false formats. Each test has 70 questions with a passing score of 70 percent.
- You will be given up to 90 minutes to complete the test. You must complete the test within one session, there is no save/return later option.
- The tests are hard! Attendance in recommended training or equivalent experience is critical to passing.
- Before launching your test ensure you are connected to a reliable internet source. Any disconnection and/or interruption will result in your test being failed if you have not submitted enough correct answers by the time of disconnection.
What do I need to know when purchasing the test?
- No cash refunds are granted.
- Your receipt is the email purchase confirmation you receive.
- You can access and take the test immediately, or wait up to 90 days to take it.

Do I need to schedule my test?
- Beginning March 1st, 2018, Informatica Certifications will be available onDemand anytime, anywhere, accessible via your web browser on your computer or mobile device. Register and take your test and all in one place, with no need to wait for a proctored session
- No need to schedule your test, it will be available to you immediately, or up to 90 days from purchase.
- Test access will expire 90 days after purchase, with no refund.
- Before launching your test ensure you are connected to a reliable internet source. Any disconnection and/or interruption will result in your test being failed if you have not submitted enough correct answers by the time of disconnection.
When do I receive my certification results
- Upon submitting your completed test.
- Results will also be available in your training transcript after completion.
Can I get a detailed report of my test answers?
- No. In order to maintain the integrity of the test, the answers to the test questions are NOT provided.
- You will receive a score summary report that contains your pass/fail status, topic area performance, and your final score.
Do I have to re-certify every year?
- No, our certification program aligns with our product major release and retirement schedule. This means that over time, the version you are certified on becomes less meaningful, and you may want to certify on a current product version.
As part of the testing process each test taker must sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). What am I agreeing to?
- This test is confidential and proprietary. It is made available to you, the test taker, solely for the purpose of assessing your proficiency level in the skill areas referenced in the title of this test. To protect the integrity of the certifications, the test taker must adhere to strict guidelines. The test taker shall not disclose to any third party the contents of this certification test, including, but not limited to questions, form of questions, or answers, in whole or in part, in any form or by any means, verbal or written, electronic or mechanical, for any purpose.
What does this NDA agreement mean to me?
- Our customers and partners view certification as a reliable benchmark to safeguard their investments in skill development. Consequently, Informatica University works vigorously to enhance the value of Informatica certifications–including improving certification tests and maintaining appropriate testing standards. As such, we need to take action when the testing standards are not being met and any questionable activity during the test takers exam occurs.
- Actions may include banning from any future test taking or revocation of certification recognition.
What happens if I fail a test?
- Current purchases of the test will include one second-attempt, accessible 2 weeks after first attempt, if a student does not pass a test.
- Additional retakes must be purchased separately. Promotions are excluded and cannot be combined.
Is there a test retake policy?
- Yes, you must wait two weeks after the test to schedule the test again.
- For example, if you purchase a test (at the current rate of $240 USD) and do not pass, Informatica will provide one second-attempt. Subsequent test attempts must be purchased at the current fee at the time of purchase.
How and when will I receive my certificate? Will I receive a hard copy?
- After passing your test you will be able to access your .pdf certificate immediately via your training transcript.
- You may print your certificate. We are unable to provide a hard copy of the certificate.
Will I receive a logo to use?
- Yes, your logo will be emailed to you with your confirmation of certification completion.
- Certificate of completion is assessible via your training transcript.
Who can I contact to verify that an individual is Informatica certified?

Are tests refundable?
- Tests cannot be refunded.
Are tests transferrable?
- Tests can be purchased on behalf of another student and assigned to that person.
- Once assigned to a named individual, tests are not transferrable
